LET’S GO TO THE ZOO!

A good way to arrive at the market if coming from areas not serviced by the underground. A pleasant 3 minute-walk down to the market areas.

London Zoo
Go wild with the animals at the World’s oldest and most famous scientific Zoo, opened in 1828. See Lions, Crocodiles, Monkey’s, Elephants and other animals that total a collection of more than 700 different species and 15,000 individuals. Camden Roundhouse
Resurrected from disrepair, the Camden Roundhouse is a wonderful creative arts centre on the Chalk Farm Road. If you’re going to be staying in the Camden area overnight, it’s well worth seeing what’s being shown at the Roundhouse. see what’s on now

LIVE MUSIC & NIGHTLIFE

When the [day]lights go down on Camden up come the stagelights for evenings full of live music from London’s freshest groups.

Jazz Cafe
What used to house the local branch of Barclays Bank in 1990 was transformed and now is one of North London’s premier soul and rhythmic music venues.What’s unique about the venu is that it also has a restaurant and so you can make an advance booking and watch a Jazz or soul concert while eating and enjoying your food. Dingwalls
It’s name taken from the Victorian businessman that, in keeping with the tradition of the time, wrote his name on his building, this is now the home to a restaurant, bar and the main venue itself (also forms part of Jongleurs Comedy Club). Underworld
Located just under the World’s End pub opposite Camden Town tube station, the Underworld plays to more of an independent and alternative music crowd and has been the launching pad for many well known groups, such as Alabama 3, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and J Mascis to name but a few. Lockside Lounge
A music/bar/club style venue attracting a young crowd, right in the Camden Lock market area. It’s been around for a lot of years and sits opposite Dingwalls. Expect a fun night, with plenty of drinking and good music. For more information on what’s on visit the website
